Key person insurance helps to protect a business against the financial impact of death, terminal illness (if the life expectancy is less than 12 months) and a specified critical illness (if chosen for an extra cost at the outset) of a key individual. Legal & General offers a policy known as Key Person Protection .

What does Key Person Protection cover?

Following the loss of a key person, the pay out from a valid claim may be able to help in scenarios such as the loss of business profits; having to recruit or train a replacement; or the loss of important business contracts due to the key person being absent. Terms and conditions apply.

What is shareholder insurance?

Shareholder insurance, such as our Share Protection policy, could help you buy out the shares of a partner or director if they've died or have a terminal illness (if the life expectancy is less than 12 months) or a specified critical illness (if chosen for an extra cost at the outset), during the length of the policy.

What is relevant life insurance?

Our Relevant Life Plan is a type of relevant life insurance, which can be used to provide an individual death in service benefit to an employee. It means that if an employee dies while the policy is in place, their loved ones could receive a lump sum.

Can I get business life insurance for a limited company?

Yes, if you run a limited company, you could consider taking out business life insurance. Examples of policies include a Relevant Life Plan for employees, Key Person Protection , Business Loan Protection or Share Protection .
