Things to consider

  • Your client can only apply for a Further Advance if they've had their lifetime mortgage for 12 months and have taken all the money in their drawdown facility if they had one.
  • The minimum amount they may be able to take is £5000. The interest rate may be different from the initial loan depending on the interest rates available at the time you request a Further Advance.
  • There are costs to consider when applying for a Further Advance and these are detailed in the Tariff of Charges (PDF: 96KB).
